Sunnyhill Adventures is a 501(c)3 organization. The need for a camp like Sunnyhill is great. Our wish is to continue to make Sunnyhill a viable operation and continue to serve children and adults of all abilities. But individual and community assistance is needed to keep camp open.
Operating a camp of Sunnyhill's caliber with innovative programs, modern facilities, and quality staff requires a great deal of resources. There is a gap between what families are able to pay and the costs involved for each camper. Sunnyhill relies on private donations and fundraising events to bridge the gap.
To help campers continue to enjoy Sunnyhill Adventures, check out the following fundraising activities, or call Sunnyhill Inc. at 314-845-3900.
Springtime at Sunnyhill Adventures is always special. The flowers are blooming, birds are singing and the world is beautiful. So, what better way to celebrate the season than to share a springtime Sunnyhill Jamboree with the community.
Saturday, May 10th on the rolling campus of Sunnyhill Adventures, we will feature a fleamarket with lots of fantastic finds for the frugal at heart. Doors open at 7 a.m. Then at 10 a.m. the Jamboree will begin. The day will include lots of music, food and a host of other springtime activities.
There will be face painting, carnival games, paddle boats, and fishing on the lake. Local bands are scheduled to play, and hot dogs, sno-cones and other snacks will be available. Come early and see the Sunnyhill Community Choir kick it off.
Then if you are up to the challenge. Take a hike to our formidable 50 foot Alpine tower where guests are invited to "Climb for a Cause." For $25 you can harness up and make your way to the top. Trained staff will be on hand to see that you get there safely. And when you get there, you'll know you have what it takes, not only to conquer the tower but to make a difference in the lives of people with developmental disabilities.
The Sunnyhill Jamboree promises to be a day to remember, so join us. Admission is FREE.
